This position will provide safety and industrial hygiene support to the Colstrip Power Plant safety department.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position will include field safety support during the Unit 3 Overhaul which includes worksite analysis for physical and work practice hazards and the development of recommended hazard elimination or control options. Other duties will include employee sampling for air contaminants, heat stress monitoring, and noise level monitoring. VPP objectives will also be a responsibility of this position, as well as any other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
This position is for a junior, senior or graduate level student enrolled in the field of Occupational Safety and Health and/or Industrial Hygiene. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required, and the student must have the intent of returning to school in the fall. An official transcript of grades and a
verification of enrollment for the fall term will be requested from all candidates. This position requires good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to use a computer for report preparation.
