Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide contractual support for assigned operator and channel partner agreements, and various aftermarket initiatives
  • Independently review, draft, and negotiate complex terms and conditions, develop alternative language, perform risk analysis/mitigation, and provide recommendations while ensuring compliance with legal requirements, customer requirements, Honeywell financial requirements, and Honeywell policies
  • Proactively advise internal clients (program/business managers, engineering, finance, and sales) concerning contractual requirements; recognize emerging issues; provide interpretation of terms and conditions
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with assigned customers, and stakeholders within Honeywell's organization, ensuring provision of top-class service and high customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures applicable to contracting and contract management; includes liaising with the Law department and other stakeholders within Aerospace for review and approval of unusual terms
  • Individually and as a team member, champion six-sigma, Functional Transformation initiatives, and contract process improvements

This position may be located at any U.S. Honeywell Aerospace location.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field with seven plus years of experience in commercial contracting; or
  • Advanced graduate degree with four plus years of experience in commercial contracting

Additional Qualifications:

  • MBA/ JD preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of and ability to express complex business concepts in concise and clear contract language
  • Strong ability to creatively solve problems, provide risk analysis and interpretation of contract terms and conditions
  • Solid interpersonal skills and experience in negotiating
  • Ability to prioritize work and coordinate multiple tasks within time constraints
  • Demonstrated ability to function as a member of a virtual team
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, leadership and initiative with results in dynamic environments
