Description
This is not a conventional design-only consulting role. It is a technically challenging, hands-on position combining advanced engineering analysis, field investigation, client engagement and technical leadership.
You will lead and contribute to complex projects, support the development of less-experienced engineers and build specialist expertise in a niche, high-value area of electrical engineering.
The role offers exposure to diverse projects across the UK and Europe, with the opportunity to work alongside recognised specialists and influence practical engineering outcomes for critical infrastructure.
Requirements
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- At least five years’ relevant engineering experience, ideally gained within consulting, utilities, mining, energy, renewables or an industrial environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or independently deliver complex technical work.
- Strong analytical, investigative and critical-thinking capability.
- Sound commercial awareness and an understanding of project scope, budget and delivery requirements.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- The confidence to engage effectively with clients, contractors and technical stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to technical accuracy and quality.
- Experience mentoring or supporting developing engineers.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- A strong commitment to work health and safety.
- A current UK driver’s licence.
- UK permanent residency or valid UK working rights. Please include your visa status in your application.
