International Field Service Engineer

Our technologies and services help industrial customers and power plants improve the safety, reliability and resilience of their energy infrastructure.

As part of our international development, we are looking for an experienced International Field Service Engineer to support our customers throughout the installation, commissioning, training and after-sales phases of our solutions.

Your role

As an International Field Service Engineer, you will work directly with our customers and technical teams around the world.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising the installation and commissioning of SERGI systems at customer sites;
  • Performing functional tests, troubleshooting issues and ensuring systems are fully operational;
  • Providing preventive and corrective maintenance, technical support, troubleshooting and repairs;
  • Training customers on system operation and maintenance and adapting technical training materials when required;
  • Acting as the main technical point of contact for customers during commissioning, training and after-sales activities;
  • Maintaining accurate service reports and technical documentation;
  • Preparing and managing after-sales quotations and orders using SAP;
  • Coordinating with internal technical, commercial and operational teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements

We are looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys combining technical expertise, customer interaction and international field work.

You should bring:

  • A Master’s degree / Engineering degree (Bac+5) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanics or a related field;
  • At least 6 years of experience in a similar technical or field-service role, ideally within an international high-technology industrial environment;
  • Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems and measuring equipment;
  • The ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings;
  • Strong fault-diagnosis, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience working on complex technical projects involving regulatory requirements and multiple stakeholders;
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities in changing operational environments;
  • Excellent customer communication skills and a service-oriented mindset;
  • Adaptability, autonomy and the ability to remain effective under pressure;
  • English at C1 level;
  • German or Spanish would be a strong advantage.

This is a highly international role, with approximately 75% of working time spent travelling.

Assignments may range from one day to several weeks, depending on operational requirements, with travel mainly across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
