What You'll Do
- Learn to monitor and operate the bulk electric system to maintain reliability and system balance
- Support real-time operations by observing system conditions and assisting with control actions
- Train on tools and systems used for energy scheduling, transmission management, and system monitoring
- Assist with logging, documentation, and communication to ensure accurate shift turnover and system visibility
- Collaborate with system operators, power marketers, and plant personnel to support safe operations
- Prepare for and obtain NERC System Operator Certification through structured training and hands-on learning
What You'll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or degree; equivalent experience
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to stay focused and maintain situational awareness in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with ability to give and receive clear instructions
- Basic math and analytical skills
