As a Research Analyst, Risk and Emerging Technologies, you will assess emerging energy technologies and help quantify enterprise risk to assist strategic decision-making. You'll play a key role in identifying disruptive trends, evaluating technical and regulatory impacts, and supporting risk-informed planning. What You'll Do- Research and evaluate emerging technologies impacting power generation, grid reliability, and system load.
- Build and apply risk models using data analysis tools to support enterprise risk management
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop risk mitigation strategies and actionable insights
- Collaborate with external organizations and industry leaders to guide their research
- Communicate findings through reports, presentations, and internal publications to drive informed decision-making
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, or risk assessment methodologies
- Understanding of utility systems, energy technologies, or regulatory environments
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across diverse teams
Preferred
- Experience in enterprise risk management or systems thinking approaches
- Familiarity with emerging energy technologies and market trends
