Leadership Development Consultant
The Leadership Development Consultant plays a key role in helping APS grow strong, capable leaders who can meet today's challenges and prepare for tomorrow. By designing and delivering leadership development programs, this role strengthens individual performance, builds leadership capability across the organization, and supports APS's mission to serve Arizona communities safely, reliably, and responsibly. What Your Day Would Be Like:
- Designing leadership development programs that help leaders succeed today and grow into future roles
- Partnering with executives, leaders, and HR business partners to understand development needs and priorities
- Facilitating and supporting leadership learning experiences that drive real behavior change
- Evaluating program effectiveness and using insights to continuously improve leadership offerings
- Providing consultation and thought partnership on leadership development strategies across the organization

- Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating leadership development programs
- Strong consultation and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner across levels of the organization
- Understanding of leadership development principles and adult learning practices

Minimum Requirements
Leadership Development Consultant
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Training and Development, Human Resources or other job-related field from an accredited college or university
- PLUS eight (8) years' experience in training curriculum development, leadership development, process or instructional design and training.
- In lieu of bachelor's degree, combination of college coursework and/or experience in training curriculum development, process or instructional design and training equaling 12 years is required.
- Deep knowledge of leadership development theories, methodologies, and best practices.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications: - Excellent facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to provide impact and effective guidance to leaders at various levels, including executives.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate both leadership and program effectiveness, collect and analyze data, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
