Description
Purpose

The Measurement Technician II has a general working knowledge of construction and maintenance, customer service, and meter reading activities. Performs all the standard and some specialized aspects of the function. May be responsible for performing the duties of transmission and distribution systems and facilities. May serve in a lead role in certain functions where specific guidance and training of less experienced support personnel is needed. Performs such work by Company, Regulatory, and Safety procedures. 

Accountabilities

  • Maintain Cathodic Protection (CP) infrastructure
  • Perform maintenance in accordance with in federal, state, and local regulations for proper coating
  • Qualified to perform line locates
  • Have strong knowledge of Cathodic Protection related equipment
  • Responsible for timely creation of remediation work orders
  • Responsible for timely Cathodic Protection troubleshooting (low systems, shorted conditions, etc.)
  • Responsible for Maintenance and updates of corrosion control mapping systems
  • Responsible for calibration of half-cells in accordance with procedures
  • Provides corrosion control related support for integrity management plan
  • Responsible for bridge inspections (enclosed, exposed, etc.) crossings in accordance with procedures
  • Responsible for design and/or assistance in designing CP Systems
  • Responsible to perform required reading (annual test points, isolated services, casings, bonds, foreign crossings, etc.) in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures
  • Performs activities to ensure responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies.
  • Completes and maintains accurate records and reports to comply with Company and Regulatory requirements.
  • Plans, monitors, coordinates, and inspects work of contractor crews to ensure compliance with Federal, state, and local codes and regulations as well as Company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maybe required to hold stand-by duty, work shifts, holidays, weekends, emergency callouts, and occasional extensive hours.
  • Identifies, addresses, and reports safety and encroachment issues to their resolution and completion.
  • Is responsible for safely operating and inspecting assigned Company vehicles and equipment.
  • Must become familiar with the contents of the Safety Manual
  • Perform other related job duties as required
  • Is responsible for the safe operation inspection of assigned company vehicles and equipment. Demonstrates support for and adheres to the company's values, strategies, policies, and procedures and exhibits the core values of Liberty's mission statement, customer service, safety, and the company's code of conduct goth as an individual contributor and team member. 

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Exposure to outside elements (heat, cold, high winds)

  • Heavy lifting, bending, stooping, walking

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) computer skills in data entry reporting reference.
  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Terran natural gas service, construction, and maintenance, or compliance field experience  
  • Requires a valid driver's license by Company standards. May require CDL and willingness to pursue
  • Must obtain and maintain any other required OQs and classroom training or certifications
  • May require overnight travel. May have residence requirements due to call-out response time.
