Summary
Responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team across SRP to manage the design, construction, and execution of complex, high-value projects, often exceeding $10 million and spanning multiple years. Oversee the development of comprehensive project plans, including schedules, cost estimates, risk assessments, and resource strategies, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide strategic leadership and technical expertise to resolve cross-functional challenges and drive project outcomes that align with organizational objectives, meeting customer expectations. Serve as the single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, regulatory agencies, and key customers, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of project activities supported by a multidisciplinary, matrix team, including planning, permitting, design/engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Integrate vendor tasks into project plans, track progress, and review deliverables as needed.
- Lead projects involving transmission and distribution systems (typically above or below 34.5 KV) from generating plants to substations and end consumers.
- Serve as the primary SRP contact for federal projects requiring coordination among distribution, transmission, and irrigation.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to address complex issues and achieve project goals.
- Facilitate meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration across all parties.
- Oversee project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, budget management, vendor relationships, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate budgeting across all SRP business groups involved in projects.
- Communicate project updates proactively to teams, management, and stakeholders, ensuring accurate records.
- Prepare documentation for issue escalation to the steering committee, including Directors and key stakeholders such as Legal Services and Land.
- Maintain established processes and procedures with external contractors.
- Implement continuous improvements and best practices, incorporating lessons learned after each project.
- Coordinate and inspect distribution construction activities.
- Represent SRP to outside agencies and serve as the single point of contact for external customers when applicable.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 9 years may be considered.

Education
A bachelor's degree relevant to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.
