Summary
Our Deer Valley Office has an immediate opening for a Relay Calibration Technician. The work hours for this position are Monday-Friday from 6:00AM - 2:30PM (AZ/MST).
Primary Duties:
- Test, maintain, adjust, repair and replace system Electromechanical Relays as needed
- Work with System Operators and others regarding Relay Maintenance and Relay Setting Changes
- Assist P&C Technicians regarding Relay Settings, testing, replacement, and associated changes as needed
- Perform/assist in Acceptance testing of Microprocessor relays using test equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Completed a Registered Journeyman Electrician Apprenticeship Program or an equivalent training program (as approved by APS T&D Technical & Safety Training) PLUS one year experience as a Journeyman Electrician**
- Substation experience required
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A - CDL) for manual transmission required
- Must live reasonable distance (one (1) hour) from headquarters.
Additional Information:
- Qualifying tests may be administered
- Interviews may be conducted
- Reasonable / necessary overtime and travel may be required.
- This position requires working aerial equipment, which has weight restrictions of 300 lbs or less
- The established headquarters for this position is subject to relocation to the HUBwest Service Center a facility that will be located 38 miles west of downtown Phoenix, on a date to be determined by the Company.
