RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installation, removal and maintenance of electrical lines, equipment and fiber optic cable.
- Coordinates line work activities with various departments, contractors and the general public.
- Restores electrical service by trouble shooting electrical lines and equipment.
- Minimizes outage duration by effectively diagnosing problems and planning/implementing restoration activities.
- Maintains continuity and reliability of service through technical proficiency in work procedures and detection/repair of defective equipment encountered in daily activities.
- Compliance with MP safety rules and applicable federal/state laws/regulations.
- Initiates proper documentation to record operations activities for legal, historical and administrative purposes.
- Required to work effectively and courteously with and around the public at all times regardless of conditions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
EDUCATION:

High school graduate or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
- Journey Level - Four years or more direct experience as a lineworker.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position will report regularly in person to Eveleth, MN.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and valid Medical Certificate.
- This position is subject to Federal DOT FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act) regulations.
