POSITION CONCEPT:
The Supvr Asset Management oversees the implementation of a standardized fleet Maintenance strategies for electrical system assets in Electric Delivery. Works closely with the Electrical System Reliability (ESR) team to develop common approach to electrical system asset Maintenance strategies for both Electric Delivery (ED) and Energy Supply (ES).
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
1. Supervises and sustains the continuous collaborative reliability management process for electrical systems which involves the development of electrical system Asset Registry, Criticality, failure mechanism Monitoring Plan, Health Indicators/Policy, Asset Risk and Recommendation Management for each reliability team. (40%)
2. Directs team members, operations, engineering and reliability teams to ensure documentation and management of electrical engineering system data including management of electrical system design documents, equipment inventories, changes, equipment monitoring, inspection and maintenance data and other data associated with electrical system Maintenance Strategy. (15%)
3. Reviews and directs team member work product to identify and interpret standards for electrical system design, operation, and maintenance. This will include evaluating and leading human performance improvement initiatives. Direct the development and implementation of associated processes. (10%)
4. Leads and facilitates root cause analysis process, tracking of reliability metrics for system assets, management of change including the evaluation of changes to electrical systems, benchmarking and tracking of functional performance and condition of assets. (10%)
5. Leads the development of management tools including databases, dashboards and key performance indicators (KPI's) for Substation, Transmission and Solar Departments. (15%)
6. Leads the Predictive Maintenance Program (PdM) for ED Operating areas. Development and communication of a statement of health and risk for equipment and associated Recommendations supporting the continuous collaborative reliability management process for applicable systems. (10%)
SUPERVISION
Direct Supervision: Direct supervision of Analyst, Engineers, Maintenance Specialists, Co-ops, Analysts, etc.
Indirect Supervision: Consultants, project teams, and contractors
RELATIONSHIPS
Key Internal: ES and ED team members including Vice Presidents, Directors, Managers, Engineers, Technicians.
Key External: Regulators, Consultants, Contractors, Industry Associations, Vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited or mutually recognized program.
Preferred: Masters in Business Administration or Masters in Engineering Management.
Licenses/Certifications
Preferred: Florida Professional Engineer's License.
Experience
Related Experience
Required: 5 years of work experience with electrical systems, implementation, operation, and maintenance of ED related assets.
Preferred: 2 years supervisory experience and/or leading work teams and reliability practices of electrical systems.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)
Required: Working knowledge of Electric Delivery Assets, Asset Management Program Elements, Continuous Improvement practices and power delivery systems used in electric utilities, Power Generation, and reliability centered maintenance practices. Ability to organize, lead and resolve technical and process problems. The ability to effectively lead and motivate individuals to meet organizational goals and personal development needs is required. Good project management skills, time management skills and communication skills.
Preferred: Working knowledge of Substation, Transmission and Distribution Assets. Lead reliability teams through asset management maturity process.
