The Manager Capital Management & Execution works with the business to identify, plan, execute and report on capital investments including budgeting, execution strategies, variance reporting, and meeting regulatory requirements. Serves as in a key position for achieving PGS near and long-term capital investment strategies. Perform analyses for use in evaluating the efficacy and impact of Capital related activities. Provide leadership and support to the Work and Capital Management team.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or related field required from an accredited college/university.
- 6 years of work experience related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position.
- 2 years supervisory experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with business partners, team members and senior management.
- Time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities. Excellent verbal, written, organizational, analytical and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability in support of business process analysis efforts and educating others in the proper application of tools and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to independently conduct interviews with management and other department leaders and distinguish between business needs and requests. Proficient knowledge of defined business processes.
- Working knowledge of various business software applications and hardware technologies. Expertise with the Microsoft Office suite. Proficient with Microsoft Project. Drives continuous process improvements.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- In collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and Design & Construction groups, develop a plan to execute the annual budget. Track and report on progress to budget and develop monthly reforecasts for projects to ensure the annual capital budget is met. Support monthly variance analysis and review of year-to-date results and provide regular updates to all relevant stakeholders.
- Interface with Operations, Engineering, and Design & Construction groups to determine capital investments that would qualify for recovery under PGS approved clauses. Develop and maintain the annual budget, including the compilation and refresh of the annual clause filings. Ensure that all planned activities are in compliance with the rules and regulations and are eligible for recovery.
- Perform analyses for use in evaluating the efficacy and impact of Capital related activities. Develop a reporting infrastructure that facilitates internal and external analysis and reporting. Determine the necessary reporting to meet regulatory requirements and subsequent year true-ups.
- Cultivate relationships with other departments to develop a single point of contact for all Capital-related discussions. Respond quickly and accurately to all requests for information and follow-up to ensure the information is understood.
- Provide leadership and support to the Work and Capital Management team. Contribute to the safety, development and growth of all personnel.
- Actively seek opportunities to optimize and advance business goals and collaborate to provide innovative ideas.
