Spire is seeking a Sr. Analyst Commercial that will be responsible for performing the monthly and daily forecasting of flow capabilities and performing the nominations, scheduling, confirmation and allocation functions for both Spire Storage West (Storage) and Spire STL Pipeline (Pipeline). In addition, administer customer contracts within the companies' information management systems in accordance with services provided as it relates to tracking customer receipts and deliveries and volume balances, calculating service charges and calculating monthly customer invoices. Also assist commercial sales, marketing and trading personnel of both businesses to facilitate execution of long term and short term commercial strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Forecast monthly and daily injection and withdrawal volume capability for Storage along with blend gas requirements in order to receive and deliver pipeline quality gas to major pipeline interconnects, taking into account influencing factors such as reservoir pressures, horsepower availability, the processing and removal of condensate, NGL's, H2O and other inert elements to arrive at dry gas quantities
- Work with Storage and Pipeline's commercial teams on a daily basis to facilitate customer obligations sold
- Manage Storage and Pipeline customers' firm and interruptible contracts, performing and overseeing nominations and scheduling, point operator confirmations, volume allocations, and capacity release requests in accordance with customers' contractual rights and FERC authorized tariffs
- Confirm nominations with pipelines, utilities, other point operators and communicate results back to customers and stakeholders in accordance with timelines as defined in the Tariffs, FERC regulations, and NAESB standards
- Work with Storage and Pipeline's operators and gas control personnel to post daily scheduled and operational available capacity and to notify customers of operational flow orders or critical notices necessary to ensure the operational integrity of the operations
- Perform monthly settlement of volumes injected, withdrawn, stored or transported for both Storage and Pipeline, calculate customer service charges, and assist corporate accounting personnel in the monthly invoicing of customers
- Manage the posting of information to Storage and Pipeline web based electronic bulletin board systems for providing the public access and download capability to daily postings, updates to tariff and rate information, and daily changing operational/transactional/affiliate information of a FERC regulated Interstate Storage Facility and Natural Gas Transmission System
- Make prior period adjustments and re-allocate volumes as necessary to facilitate corrections in measurement or other documented reasons
- Assist Storage and Pipeline marketing personnel with short term capacity sales when marketing personnel are unavailable
- Interface with corporate accounting and regulatory personnel to ensure accurate invoicing for services rendered and appropriate and timely reporting and compliance as required by law

Required Education (certifications, licenses)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Valid driver's license
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
- Natural Gas Scheduling experience or related experience is preferred
- At least 5 years of work experience performing pipeline or storage scheduling or similar function
