RESPONSIBILITIES:
Internship activities may include but are not limited to the following.
- Participate in relay trip event analysis to identify root cause on transmission, distribution and generation systems.
- Assist with the development and commissioning of protection relay settings and perform short circuit model updates/verification to ensure accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor degree program in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as occasional travel may be required.
- Candidates may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, and/or aptitude.
DETAILS & DURATION OF INTERNSHIP:
- This internship will report in person to Duluth, MN.
- This role is expected to begin May or June 2025.
- The internship will be full time during summer with the possibility of extending to part-time during academic terms up until graduation.
- ALLETE will comply with college requirements.
- Hours and duration are subject to change based on company needs.
