Your role in our success:

Manages and oversees all activities to include engineering, inventory, and maintenance responsibilities for the safe, efficient, economical management of gas operations for their respective divisions. 

What you'll be working on:

  • Provides direction and coordination of gas distribution operations and maintenance functions for a large geographic region.
  • Supervises management of service, installation and maintenance, measurement, system operations, warehouse departments. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and local codes and regulations.
  • Works proactively to promote the company's growth objectives; Participate in the development and implementation of strategic planning to assure that business objectives and goals are accomplished.
  • Oversees and administers the O&M Manual, Procedures Manual, Operator Qualification Plan, Hurricane Plan, Emergency Manual, etc. and assist with necessary revisions.
  • Provides oversight of specification of material, tools and equipment used by all gas divisions to ensure standardization. Negotiate contracts with vendors.
  • Creates and adheres to operations budget for the division.
  • Assists HR and Director of Operations with all union matters including negotiations of respective Union Agreements.
  • Performs all management duties including hiring, coaching, promotion, discipline, termination, training and development.

Who you are:

  • High school diploma required, bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration preferred   

  • Seven (7) years of progressive natural gas operations experience including managing teams at all levels, both union and non-union
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
  • Strong knowledge of Natural Gas Pipeline Regulations
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills
  • Motivates and directs staff in a manner to achieve and support the company's core values and the vision of the Gas Operations unit
  • Proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, data base and spreadsheet applications
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including emergency response and "On-Call" responsibilities on a regular basis
  • Ability to make safe and timely decisions and direct others
