Description
1. Research on related standards of transmission and distribution system products
- Get familiarized with the core value of SHEMAR long life line insulator.
- Interpretation of national or customer standards / specifications for external insulation products, acquisition of design technical information.
- Master the local design specification, design procedure and design practices of insulation strings
2. Develop insulation products for transmission and distribution systems suitable for local markets
- Obtain the basic technical information required for products suitable for local markets.
- Participate in developing transmission and distribution insulator products, drawings, catalogues, cut-sheets and white papers for Euro market.
- Participate in the completion of the composite line insulators and insulator strings approvals and laboratory test certification.
- Participate in the development of local transmission market power solution product selection guidelines.
3. Conducting technical marketing
- Coordinate with regional sales team to deliver product value and technical marketing, such as customer visits, customer Q&A sessions, product promotion sessions, customer technical seminars, etc.
- Coordinate with regional sales team to cooperate with new customers, get utility or TSO approvals, promote the certification process and pilot application project of transmission and distribution line insulators, etc.
4. Conducting technical support during routine business
- Assist sales to answer customer's technical questions and provide business support for localized solutions.
- Participate in site engineering investigation and technical solution confirmation for power solution pilot promotion project.
- Assist sales and experts to complete the new product qualification review of power solutions.
Requirements
1. Education
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Major in electrical, mechanical or materials engineering (specialization in high voltage engineering will be considered an advantage).
2. Experience
- More than 3 years of experience in the design, development or application of insulator products & hardware fittings for power transmission and distribution overhead lines.
- Experienced in design, development or application of insulation products & hardware fittings, including Suspension Line Insulator, Line Post Insulator for transmission and distribution application.
- Experienced in customer approvals and qualification processes involving drawings, application data, laboratory test reports for Line Insulator and Line Post Insulator for transmission and distribution application.
- Experienced in product value promotion, technical sales and customer technical support for, Line Insulator and Line Post Insulator for transmission and distribution application.
- Work experience in insulator product manufacturers.
3. Knowledge
- Have knowledge of product costs and other related commercial information.
- Possess understanding of local transmission and distribution network system specifications and design practices.
- Familiar with transmission external insulation products of IEC standards, such as IEC 61952, IEC 61109, etc.
- Familiar with external insulation product technical parameters, product structure, manufacturing process of insulator suppliers.
- Familiar with finite element software tools and 3D CAD suites will be considered an advantage.
4. Ability
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to collect technical information through multiple channels.
- Have a deep understanding of the business operation of all parties involved in the power industry, especially the transmission product industry.
- Have experience in transmission line insulator strings products.
- Design of transmission and distribution composite insulator products meeting or exceeding customers needs.
