Summary
The Manager of Benefits will manage the North American benefits team for Canada and the United States, lead ongoing benefits administration activity, vendors, regulatory and legal compliance efforts, and process improvement efforts for the administration and design of all benefit plans.
Responsibilities
· Manage all benefits related activities and introduce automation into all processes. Project manage all new products developed or purchased for benefits offerings.
· Ensure all Benefit programs are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
· Review of benefits programs considering cost/benefit analysis, program effectiveness, industry trends, market offerings, employee demographics, competitive positioning, governance, and best practices.
· Utilize technology to enhance the employee experience.
· Develop a communication strategy to ensure information on program offerings is effectively communicated to employees.
· Collaborate with HR teams to identify opportunities to align initiatives, consider feedback and integrate into benefits programming and identify areas of focus for enhancement.
Qualifications
· University degree in Human Resources or related experience
· 5+ years working in Benefits in Canada and the United States
· Knowledge of benefits legislation and an analytical approach to problem solving
· Experience negotiating with providers and vendors
· HR System experience an asset
