Description

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. Must have a valid Florida Commercial Driver's License Class "B", with endorsement code "X" (Hazmat and Tanker), without air brake endorsement. Endorsement may be obtained
    within 90 days after hire and must pass a D.O.T. (Department of Transportation) Physical every two (2) years.
  2. Company uniforms are required including wearing various forms of protective equipment to include steel toed shoes, headgear, safety glasses and various other items.
  3. Responsible for the proper & safe use and maintenance of bulk delivery equipment and all other operating equipment and tools utilized in performing the assigned tasks.
  4. Must be capable of utilizing company mobile device
  5. Deliver propane gas in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  6. Perform pre-trip and post trip safety inspections of vehicle and equipment.
  7. Document findings of inspections and ensure appropriate action is taken in regards to any exceptions.
  8. Prepare and maintain all appropriate documentation required of drivers by the Department of Transportation.
  9. Observe all traffic rules and practice defensive driving techniques.
  10. Observe all company, industry, and regulatory guidelines regarding the safe operation of equipment and the delivery of propane gas.
  11. Record deliveries, meter readings and tank percentages accurately.
  12. Check credit status of customers prior to making deliveries when on call
  13. Keep the Delivery Manager and DM informed of inventory levels in various bulk plant tanks.
  14. Prepare driver settlement reports on a daily basis and submit with work at the end of the day to the Delivery Manager.
  15. Verify the driver settlement report balances properly and all information is recorded accurately.
  16. Inspect bulk plants, plant equipment and delivery equipment.
  17. Inform the Delivery Manager and DM of any items which need attention or repair, report any unsafe conditions to management immediately.
  18. Inspect equipment at customer locations to ensure compliance with company and industrystandards and inform Delivery Manager of any conditions which are in violation of codes orsuspected to be unsafe.
  19. Ensure that the vehicles assigned are mechanically maintained and that they are kept clean to present a good company image.
  20. Disconnect and reconnect gas service to include relighting of appliances in accordance with Company policy.
  21. Perform Leak, Pressure and regulator performance testing along with preparing proper documentation.
  22. Assist in the installation of tanks, equipment with service personnel as needed.
  23. Be sensitive to customers' situations and provide helpful assistance to resolve problems.
  24. Be cooperative with management and co-workers.
  25. Exhibit a commitment to Quality Customer Service.
  26. Participate in company and industry activities and training which serve to improve personal job knowledge and performance
  27. Perform other related duties as assigned
  28. Required to be on On-Call Rotation
  29. Must be able to pass the requirements outlined in the Training Grid associated with this position.
