An Equipment Serviceman In Charge is a Journeyman who is:
(a) the single Journeyman Equipment Serviceman at a District Headquarters;
(b) qualified to and does overhaul, repair, and maintain automotive and utility work equipment including hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic driven components and equipment;
(c) qualified to operate a garage and maintain equipment records; and
(d) qualified to instruct personnel in operation and preventive maintenance procedures of assigned equipment.
Responsibilities
- Repair of all types of mobile equipment and tools, to include all light, medium and heavy duty gas and diesel engine equipment.
- Repair of hydraulic operated aerial and man lift devices.
- Performance of the SAP PM program to minimize equipment downtime and unexpected cost.
- Overseeing of vendors to ensure repairs are done to Pacificorp standards.
- Processing of billing to ensure timely vendor payment.
Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent
- Must be a Journeyman Equipment Serviceman; or have 5 years verifiable mechanic experience
- Must pass a Rocky Mountain Power Journeyman Mechanic test, provided by RMP.
- Must possess or able to obtain a class A CDL license within 90 days of hire.
Preferences
- 5 years' experience in the light, medium and heavy duty truck repair with an emphasis on derrick and aerial equipment repair.
- Excellent customer service skills
- A self-starter who can excel with little supervision.
