Position Overview
Business/ Finance New Grads will be responsible for a variety of business functions within the organization. These may include reporting, planning, accounting, audit, inventory management, material forecasting, data analysis, scheduling, reviewing processes for compliance, program/project management and the delivery of some training programs for field staff. It may also include monitoring contingency use and participating in project risk workshops for Tx Capital projects.
There are positions located in downtown Toronto and in Barrie.
Candidates selected for this position will be included in Hydro One's New Grad training and development program. Over the course of this two-year program, candidates will have the opportunity to rotate through several roles allowing them to gain experience working on different projects and in different environments. A combination of training and mentoring will be provided.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor degree in programs such as Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
- Knowledge of business/project management concepts, audit/investigation techniques data analysis and continuous improvement approaches.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. MS Teams would be an asset.
- Experience with SAP is an asset, especially FI/CO modules and Project Systems.
- Experience in working with databases, data management, analysis and reporting is an asset.
- Willingness to travel to support site meetings for various assigned projects. This might include an overnight stay due to travel distance to ensure safe conditions of travel.
- Valid driver's license in Ontario.

- Requires excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English language, to effectively communicate with the project teams.
- Self-motivated, safety-conscious, cost-conscious, customer oriented, punctual, works independently, good time management and capable to be engaged in work with minimum supervision to complete assigned asks to meet business objectives.
- Attention to details, quality driven in day-to-day, routine, or complex tasks, maintains focus to ensure high quality work.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, breakdown to manageable tasks and implement solutions.
