Core Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of technical staff to provide communication solutions for the Company. Manages and plans the strategy of infrastructure technology within a dedicated discipline for use throughout the Company. Provides thought leadership in a wide range of technology initiatives to support the business priorities of the company. Provides operational support for Company IT infrastructure systems and establishes roadmaps and strategy to sustain. Ensures integration within and between IT domains by assessing solution options and guiding the development of business solutions through innovative technology solutions. Establishes and/or collaborates on technical standards, development, integration and maintenance.
  • The role includes the day to day management of the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC), leading incident response efforts, Orchestration and Automation of incident response, collaboration with government, industry, and company stakeholders to mitigate cybersecurity threats. Lead and support projects to enhance the operations of the CSOC.
  • Manage 24/7 technical staff responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting and supporting intrusion prevention, endpoint protection, data loss prevention, and access control events. Ensure 24/7/365 coverage.
  • Develop and maintain advanced security posture to adequately protect the Company.
  • Oversee security incident management processes and security monitoring alerts. Serve as Incident Commander for high impact security incidents.
  • Partner with Information Security Engineering team to assure security tools and solutions hardware/software/devices are operating effectively and that appropriate and effective measures to respond to security alerts are implemented.
  • Apply knowledge of current threat landscape and understanding of the latest exploit techniques to propose appropriate countermeasures, configurations and awareness.
  • Develop and maintain operating guidelines and procedures for CSOC
  • Develops staff; researches/provides recommendation on technical training, evaluates/provides feedback for skill development of junior technical staff
  • Lead and ensure efficient ticket queue monitoring, resolution and prioritization, maintain diagrams and documentation as appropriate and support reviews, auditing and maintenance activities
  • Promote a customer service-oriented team by emphasizing professionalism, honesty, concern, courtesy, excellence and teamwork in a group. Ensure that communications between staff members and business organizations are handed in a professional, efficient manner
  • Support operating organizations during corporate emergencies. Participate in the Company's emergency management processes, cyber security and storm plans
  • Performs other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree And 8 years of work experience in IT or Utility environments

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, Math, Engineering or business-related discipline preferred. And 8 years of work experience in IT or Utility environments with at least four (4) years in Information Security.
  • Master's Degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, Math, Engineering or business-related discipline preferred. And 6 years of work experience in IT or Utility environments with at least four (4) years in Information Security

Required Work Experience

  • Proven experience of process and policy creation and documentation Required
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles. Required
  • Must be conversant in emerging Cybersecurity threats, technologies, and practices Required
  • Must have experience in Incident Response Required
  • Must have managerial/supervisory experience Required
  • Must be comfortable and skilled at selling new processes and techniques. Required
  • Must be able to communicate process designs and give persuasive presentations. Must be able to interact with all levels of management and communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Required
  • Ability to establish medium and long-term plans and priorities and estimate investment requirements. Required
  • Must be flexible and able to work off-hours as required to support deployments, resolve production problems or respond to corporate emergencies. Required
  • Training and/or certification in one or more domains desired, e.g. application architecture, data architecture, IT Infrastructure, Information Security, business/process architecture or redesign. Preferred
  • Thorough understanding of communication protocols and standards Preferred
  • Experience with implementing or integrating commercially available infrastructure components. Pref
