Job Summary
Dominion Energy Transmission, Inc. is currently seeking a Welder for our Leidy Station in Renovo, PA.
As our Welder, you will perform all duties incidental to welding and brazing by means of an oxyacetylene torch and welding rods and electric welding apparatus to fabricate metal objects or to repair broken or damaged metal objects as required in the maintenance and construction of high pressure natural gas pipeline facilities. You will fabricate complicated pipe and assemblies, high pressure regular and meter hookups, and compressor station piping utilizing blueprints, plans, and specifications; weld pipelines and fabricate drips, meter runs, etc.; operate various hand tools and associated shop equipment; prepare records and reports; make minor repairs to equipment used in the performance of assigned duties, keeping the equipment in safe and proper working condition; and you may direct other employees in the performance of assigned duties. This position may perform other duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. One year documented downhill welding experience (to be considered, your resume MUST denote this experience).
2. Documented basic computer experience (ex. email, internet, time entry etc.)
3. Must possess a valid driver's license and operate a company vehicle.
PREFERRED:
1. Minimum 6 months natural gas pipeline welding experience
2. Previous experience with API 1104 downhill welding.
Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Candidates must possess the ability to analyze problems, collect accurate data and draw valid conclusions.
2. You must also have the ability to work independently and as a crew member.
3. Must qualify for and maintain Dominion Welding Qualification Card API 1104.
