Position Summary
The role of the IT Product Specialist is to manage the entire lifecycle of assigned IT product(s) or service(s). Major responsibilities include collaborating with key stakeholders in the selection process, developing detailed system designs from requirements, contract management, vendor management, capacity management, contributing to future direction and roadmaps, escalated support and product consulting, and documentation. This position directly supports PG&E's internal iOS development team, Digital Catalyst, and is critical in ensuring that teams MacBooks are configured and working properly.
Job Responsibilities
- Package and deliver MacOS software via JAMF
- Partner with various IT/LOB organizations on pilot and full-scale deployments
- Test Applications against baseline prior to pilot deployment
- Troubleshoot all software deployments on MacBooks
- Evaluate new patches and operating system updates from Apple for MacOS
- Product Manager for JAMF
- Maintaining JAMF application on servers
- Escalations related to product upgrades and or outages
- Support SCCM Plugin that coordinates inventory data from JAMF to SCCM
- Product Manager for MacOS
- Product Manager for Apple Enterprise
- Vendor Relationships with Apple, JAMF all standard software i.e. RSI
- Create shell scripts for MacOS management as needed
- Establish Asset Management process for fleet of MacOS based products
- Develop process for License management with Vendor and IT
- Certificate management with PG&E resources
