Brief Description

We are recruiting for an Instrumentation & Control Engineer to maintain the overall performance and efficiency of our supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems and data communication networks to ensure secure and reliable operations at our water and wastewater facilities.

Detailed Description

Based out of our Paradise Valley, AZ office, this individual provides support to operations staff to ensure that process control systems meet operational requirements efficiently and reliably. They will participate in the development, review, and implementation of process control systems and oversee contractor installations of process control equipment.

Job Requirements

This position requires a 4-year degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Automation, or equivalent; or a 2-year degree with technical experience in lieu of a 4-year degree. We are looking for a minimum of 3 years' experience with design, programming, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of process control systems. Successful candidates should have experience providing support to operations and maintenance teams in the field and experience with data communication networks including Ethernet/IP and radio telemetry. This position requires understanding of programming and configuration of programmable logic controllers (PLC) as well as human machine interfaces (HMI). Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Wonderware HMIs preferred. Requires intermediate to advanced computer knowledge including an understanding of some or all of IP networking, SQL databases, Windows Server management, and use of command line and Telnet. Requires at least a basic understanding of electrical systems including ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot wiring issues with a multimeter. Occasional travel is required to facilities outside the Phoenix-metro area. Candidates will be considered for an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer I or II based on the candidate's relevant qualifications and experience level.
