Major Duties & Responsibilities PEER Program Overview
PEER is a two year program designed to expose entry-level engineers to many different aspects of the electrical power industry, provide networking opportunities with SMUD management, and a solid foundation for a career in SMUD.

Power Experience Entry-Level Rotational (PEER) Program Rotational Path Details PEER participants are offered a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package including, medical, dental, vision, CalPERS retirement, and 401(K)/457 options. All engineers are subject to one year probation. Upon completion of the 24-month rotation program, the PEER engineer will evaluate available permanent positions that balance their personal interests with the business needs of SMUD.
