INDICATIVE DUTIES:
Works and learns, under the direction of a senior worker, from drawings, specifications, and instructions to construct, operate, and maintain microwave and multiplex systems, mobile radio systems (including base stations, control circuits, and mobile radios), power line, open wire and cable carrier systems, digital systems, data circuits, DC power systems used for communication equipment.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of: Applied theory of electricity and electronics, mathematics as applies to electronics, work methods, use of tools and test equipment for the indicative duties listed above and safe work practices.
- Ability to: Operate mechanical and electrical equipment, drive truck, van, or similar vehicle, hold a valid US Driver's license.
- License, perform hard physical labor, identify color coded cable, and ability to act effectively in the indicative duties listed above.
- The knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job are of a level comparable to those normally acquired through a high school education and experience in related electrical and electronic work.
- Must have experience of the basic use and functions of electrical equipment.

- 2982 - Jr. Communications Technician Test
