Description
- Supervise personnel, as assigned, to implement SEL values and objectives in order to achieve corporate goals.
- Plan, develop, and implement effective department processes and work instructions.
- Plan, develop, implement, and monitor department training programs and their effectiveness.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor department and individual performance metrics to ensure efficient
- handling and control of materials.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective inbound and outbound shipping cost and carrier performance procedures and metrics.
- Work with manufacturing to develop, implement, and maintain a coordinated quality, efficiency, and service improvement effort.
- Plan, develop, and implement department safety and security programs for employees, equipment, and facilities.
- Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Production Planning or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3 years of leadership experience
- 5 years of production, inventory, or logistics experience in manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL
- Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
- APICS Certified
- Six Sigma Training
