Eaton's Electrical Power Components Division is seeking a Test Engineer. The Test Engineer will be based at our Moon Township, PA location.
Job Overview:
Lead testing of new product development and maintenance of line development projects. Design automated testing programs, test plans, and validate electronic devices, specifically Meters, Protective Relays, and Trip Units.
Job Responsibilities:
- Writes test plans for all levels of testing. Maintains records of test progress, documents test results, prepares reports and presents results as appropriate
- Develop tests (both manual and automated) from detailed product requirements complying with coding guidelines, electrical standards and test architecture.
- Establish and drive test processes, procedures and test metrics while improving quality to the customer.
- Investigates and resolves operational matters of significance in conjunction with other engineering and technical support to ensure cost effective and efficient resolution of problems.
- Implements software quality plans, evaluates quality standards, analyzes test results and recommend corrective actions. Participate in design and implementation reviews.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers and other members of the team in testing requirements and release planning.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 months of engineering co-op or internship experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Relocation is not offered for this role. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of the Moon Township, PA Facility to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrical engineering degree with concentration on power
- Coding experience with C or C/C++ or Python
- Testing automation development.
- Minimum one year test engineering experience
