Impact :
A Solution Architect Experienced mainly interacts with other Ericsson Services Professionals, groups within the Service Delivery organization, customers, engagement practice teams as well as the customer units. Key responsibilities include: driving high customer satisfaction, performing add-on sales, ensuring project success end to end, leading and mentoring team members, and constantly innovating.
Main Responsibilities
Based on business needs, responsibilities may include the following:
- Analyze complex customer business requirements and formulate detailed requirement specifications that serve to enhance customer's competitive position.
- Provide high-level and detailed consultative solutions and technical sales support for selected customer opportunities.
- Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners and potential clients.
- Select or propose 3rd party suppliers/products for the Customer Solution. Work with and manage customized solutions and products, including 3rd party products.
- Drive changes in the methods, processes and guidelines within the customer organization or internally.
- Identify and drive add-on sales and new business opportunities during the process in order to contribute to increased sales volumes.
- Manage teams of less experienced Solution Architect or Service Engineers in Customer Projects to ensure that they are delivered according to expectations and plans.
- Act as a leader/mentor in day to day operations to provide insights for less experienced colleagues. Be a bridge between the customer and internal project team members.
- Understand workflow based software design/testing including catalog-driven workflow.
- Have experience with designing Product Catalogs (commercial as well as technical catalog), implementing the product life cycle and catalog-driven workflow management.
- Strong knowledge of the SID model and able to implement Ericsson Product Catalog (commercial as well as technical catalog) with product offerings, product specifications, customer facing services, resource facing services and resources.
- Being familiar with business interaction implementations of catalog a plus.
- Have experience with designing workflows via both catalog-driven orchestration and business process management.
- Design automated workflows that integrate with and coordinate provisioning systems, network inventory systems and other external applications.
- Design automated workflows to provision and manage residential and enterprise services.
- Create workflow specifications and escalate issues to Principal Architect as needed.
- Write technical specifications when required to revise designed workflows/architecture.
- Have experience with creating Ericsson catalog objects including charges, tariffs and rates.
- Be recognized as a leader in knowledge sharing communities.
- Travel internationally and sometimes on short notice with variable durations (up to 30% per year).
- Participate in technical reviews and provide technical support to our customers, third party partners and Ericsson organizations.

Recommended Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Master's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
Pertinent Experience:
Four+ years of relevant experience in a Software or Telecommunications environment where at least 3 of those years are with ConceptWave products as a Solution Architect position, Developer or equivalent.
Competence
- At least 3 years working experience with ConceptWave (Order Care and Catalog Manager) as a developer, Integrator or Solution Architect.
- At least 2 years working experience in OSS and BSS domain.
- Experience with JAVA/J2EE, JavaScript, XML, JDBC, EJB, Web Services, Design Patterns, Struts, JSP, JSON, Servelets, Jboss, ANT, JPA, Hibernate, AJAX, Agile Methodologies, J2ME, Selenium, JUnit, Oracle database, MYSQL.
- Very good knowledge of operator networks & business environments.
- Very good knowledge of Wireless and broadband networks.
- Good knowledge with wireless and/or wireline provisioning
- Ericsson Multi Activation (EMA/PG), Automatic Device Configuration (ADC), Ericsson remote device management (ERDM) and SF Telcordia portfolio knowledge an asset.
