For the 18th consecutive year, Site Selection Magazine has named Entergy a Top Utility in economic development.
The communities we serve host some of the largest and most power-intensive industries in the United States. In 2024, Entergy New Orleans helped secure $125 million in capital investments and create nearly 700 new jobs within Orleans Parish.

In addition to creating jobs, these projects will generate increased tax revenues for state and local governments, leading to better schools, roads and public facilities for residents and their families.

Customer investments
Capital investments in New Orleans over the last 18 years represent a variety of industries and companies from around the world, including the Fairmont Hotel, located at 1010 Common Street, a $77 million project that created 500 jobs and Five O Fore Golf, a $47 million investment that generated 2,000 jobs.
Additionally, in 2024, in partnership with CSX Corporation, Entergy New Orleans was awarded the official certification of a 76-acre industrial site under Louisiana Economic Development's Certified Sites Program. This designation, the first of its kind in the city, positioned the site for immediate development and is expected to generate new job opportunities, enhance infrastructure, and strengthen local logistical and transportation networks.
