Aug 16, 2017

Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO)  announced it received Dr. Massoud Amin's decision to resign from the MRO Board late last week. Dr. Amin has been a valuable member of the board and its committees since 2013. "It was with a heavy heart," Amin said, "that I reached the decision to resign from the MRO Board due to my other on-going professional commitments. I am confident that MRO's superb staff and board will continue to make a difference in the reliability and security of the bulk power system."

MRO Board Chair Richard Doying said: "The MRO Board is very appreciative of Dr. Amin's contributions and service on the MRO Board. He is a dedicated champion of the North American bulk power grid. The board and staff thank him for his contributions and steadfast service."

Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the reliability and security of the bulk power system in the north central region of North America, including parts of both the United States and Canada. MRO is one of eight regional entities in North America operating under authori-ty from regulators in the United States and Canada through a delegation agreement with the North Ameri-can Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). The primary focus of MRO is ensuring compliance with interna-tional reliability standards, performing assessments of the electric grid, and other matters impacting reliabil-ity of the bulk electric system.
