As part of the development of our engineering activities, we are looking for a Specific Projects Development Engineer to join our team in Beauchamp, France.
Your role
Working in a multidisciplinary and international environment, you will take ownership of the technical development of customer-specific solutions, from the analysis of requirements through to validation and first production.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing customer specifications, technical requirements and input data, and identifying interfaces, risks and missing information;
- Defining the development scope, deliverables, acceptance criteria, required resources and technical schedule;
- Managing several development projects simultaneously, setting priorities and monitoring actions, workload, technical costs, risks and deadlines;
- Anticipating potential deviations and ensuring that technical issues are identified and addressed at an early stage;
- Carrying out mechanical design studies within your area of expertise;
- Preparing and coordinating requests for 3D models, drawings, detailed drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical specifications;
- Reviewing and validating technical solutions, drawings, materials, assemblies, tolerances, treatments and manufacturing documentation;
- Defining product validation requirements and coordinating prototypes, testing and technical validation activities;
- Analyzing test results and documenting evidence of compliance;
- Coordinating contributions from R&D, Project, Simulation, Production, Methods/Industrialization, Quality and Purchasing teams, as well as suppliers and technical partners;
- Supporting the release and transfer of technical documentation into production;
- Supporting first production runs and resolving technical clarifications or non-conformities linked to the development.
We are looking for an engineer who combines strong mechanical expertise, project ownership and the ability to work effectively across multiple technical functions.
You should bring:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design, including drawings, materials, assemblies, tolerances, manufacturing processes and product validation;
- Experience with CAD and technical data management tools, ideally SolidWorks and/or 3DEXPERIENCE;
- Familiarity with project planning and tracking tools and an ERP system such as SAP;
- The ability to understand and interpret mechanical simulation, CFD or FSI results;
- Hands-on simulation experience would be an advantage;
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills;
- The ability to manage several technical projects and priorities simultaneously;
- Professional proficiency in French and English;
- Spanish would be an advantage.
Your background
Education: Master’s degree / Engineering degree (Bac+5) in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Product Design or an equivalent technical field.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in industrial product development, mechanical design, industrialization or technical project management.
Experience working with customer-specific products, engineer-to-order / manufacture-to-order environments or multi-project development would be a strong advantage.
