We're seeking an experienced Manager, Pipeline Safety Compliance to lead programs that help ensure the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of one of Florida's largest natural gas distribution systems. What You'll Do

 Lead Pipeline Safety & Compliance Programs

  • Lead and enhance pipeline safety compliance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement programs. 
  • Support strategic and tactical initiatives designed to reduce operational risk and strengthen safety performance. 
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure compliance and operational effectiveness. 
  • Advance Pipeline Safety Management System (PSMS) initiatives and compliance efforts. 

Manage Risk, Audits & Regulatory Compliance

  • Lead internal compliance assessments, quality assurance reviews, and risk evaluations. 
  • Manage compliance programs related to PHMSA, FPSC, and internal regulatory requirements. 
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement and corrective action. 

Serve as a Regulatory Leader

  • Act as a primary liaison with regulatory agencies, including PHMSA and the Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC). 
  • Coordinate audit activities, regulatory communications, reporting, and issue resolution. 
  • Support inspections and ensure regulatory commitments are completed effectively. 

Lead & Develop Teams

  • Provide leadership and direction to compliance and quality assurance professionals. 
  • Foster employee development, succession planning, and team performance. 
  • Build a culture focused on accountability, safety, collaboration, and continuous learning. 

Influence Strategic Decisions

  • Prepare executive-level reports and recommendations regarding compliance performance and risk mitigation. 
  • Present updates to senior leadership and oversight committees. 
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Integrity Management, IT, Legal, and Finance teams to drive compliance excellence.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of direct experience in natural gas operations compliance administration. Fluent in operations of a gas distribution company. 
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of natural gas distribution operations.
  • Working knowledge of the design and operational characteristics of natural gas distribution systems, including gate stations, regulator stations, and meter sets. 
  • Literate in work and asset/ data management systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant municipal, state and federal regulations pertaining to natural gas distribution.  Understanding of quality assurance processes.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and to analyze problems logically.
  • Knowledge of the geographic service territory.
  • Must be well organized and have demonstrated good project management skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Be self-motivated with the ability to work independently. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in gas operations oversight or regulatory enforcement. 
  • Knowledge of PHMSA and FPSC regulations. 
  • Experience leading quality assurance, compliance, or operational excellence initiatives.
