Description

Position Summary:

Do you have a finance background, and are looking to branch out of traditional finance roles? The Project Administrator supports the construction group, with duties focused on financial and administrative project activities including maintaining project documentation, completing project set up, timekeeping, and forecasting and analyzing data. There is a team already in place, so there is plenty of support for any incumbent and on the job training is provided.

Job Duties:

· Attend project startup meetings, close out meetings and ensure completion and retention of project forms and documents

· Initiate project setup and ensure that Company processes and workflows are followed related to the project

· Ensure receipt of all invoices. Follow up with vendors where required. Reconcile purchases to invoices to ensure accuracy and ensure all invoices are paid

· Timekeeping, with an understanding of collective agreements and company policy

· Complete customer cost reporting. Review and reconcile actual project expenses against cost estimates

· Prepare and distribute various project costing reports for review by management

· Complete purchase requisitions and process accounts payable invoices

· Perform cost control support activities

· Prepare and submit invoices, statutory declarations, insurance documents, WSIB clearances, and reporting as required by the contract

· Ability to travel to customer sites

Qualifications

Education and/or Relevant Experience

Associate's degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience in lieu. Mid-level accounting, project management or contract management experience.

Preferred Work Experience:

· Communication Skills (written, verbal)

· Attention to Detail

· Time Management

· Proactive and has initiative to identify issues and raise them as appropriate

· Experience working with a unionized workforce is an asset

· Experience with cost reporting/timekeeping/expense reports

· Experience with mid-level accounting functions

· Working knowledge with Microsoft Office

· Bilingual (FR/ENG)
