Leads Liberty's engagement with its most complex, high-value, and visible commercial, industrial, and municipal customers, while cultivating trusted relationships with key community and government partners. This role serves as the strategic connection between customer growth, economic development, and community engagement, ensuring Liberty's business objectives align with the needs of the customers and communities it serves. Operating at both strategic and executional levels, the Senior Manager influences outcomes that drive investment, reliability, and reputation across multiple jurisdictions and commodities. The role provides expert guidance on major customer initiatives, community partnerships, and local stakeholder relations, helping shape Liberty's presence as a responsible and valued community partner.
Accountabilities
- Manage the company's largest and most strategically significant commercial, industrial, and municipal accounts across electric, gas, and water operations.
- Develop deep relationships with executive-level customer leaders and operational stakeholders.
- Anticipate customer needs and provide strategic guidance on long-term energy, water, and infrastructure planning.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure service reliability, responsiveness, and value delivery.
- Lead engagement and communication strategies during major service events, ensuring transparency and trust.
- Partner with state and regional economic development agencies to attract new business, support customer expansions, and promote regional investment.
- Identify and advance opportunities that link customer growth with community infrastructure and sustainability initiatives.
- Represent Liberty at industry councils, economic boards, and business forums to promote the company as a growth-enabler and partner of choice.
- Provide strategic input into capital planning and policy discussions that impact business and community development.
- Build and maintain relationships with municipal officials, community leaders, and government partners to strengthen Liberty's role in the community.
- Represent the company at public meetings, community forums, and events related to infrastructure projects or public concerns.
- Champion community partnerships and programs that reflect Liberty's values and enhance its local reputation.
- Engage proactively to align community interests with Liberty's service and growth objectives.
- Act as a senior resource within the Strategic Growth & Community Affairs team, providing direction and expertise on customer engagement strategies and complex stakeholder issues.
- Share insights, best practices, and lessons learned to strengthen team performance and consistency across regions.
- Support leadership in developing approaches that enhance customer experience, growth alignment, and community impact.
- Prepare executive-level summaries, recommendations, and briefings on customer and community matters.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering or related discipline
- 7+ years demonstrated sales/marketing management experience required.
- Experience working in electric/gas/water utility, or adjacent industry preferred
