The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. Senior Operations Business Partner Salary Range: $87,950 - $112,190
Join our team as a Senior Operations Business Partner!
The Senior Operations Business Partner provides strategic and operational support to System Operations, Quality Control, Policy, and Engineering Support functions. This role serves as a primary liaison to operations leadership, ensuring effective coordination, tracking, and execution of departmental initiatives, performance metrics, stakeholder commitments, and reporting obligations.
Operating in a fast-paced environment, the Senior Operations Business Partner independently identifies business needs, develops actionable solutions, and builds strong collaborative relationships across the organization including executive leadership. The position requires sound judgment, discretion, strong facilitation skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited oversight. This role contributes to enterprise-wide initiatives and supports continuous improvement efforts designed to enhance operational effectiveness and organizational alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor to operations leadership, identifying business needs and developing actionable solutions.
- Coordinate and track departmental initiatives, projects, metrics, and stakeholder commitments.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration and facilitate SME groups to drive operational improvements.
- Prepare executive-level communications, reports, and presentations.
- Translate complex operational and technical information into clear, actionable insights.
- Identify risks, escalate issues, and support timely resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
- Ensure alignment with organizational policies, governance requirements, and compliance standards.
To be successful we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Communications, Engineering, or related field; OR six (6) years of directly related professional experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum six (6) years of relevant, progressively responsible professional experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with stringent deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and database systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
Preferred:
- Experience within the electric utility industry, Regional Transmission Organization (RTO), or other critical
- infrastructure environment.
- Experience supporting operations, engineering, or technical business units.
- Familiarity with operational performance metrics and regulatory frameworks.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of the workweek are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Working extended hours may be required.
