Supervise staff in providing project controls support for tasks assigned to the Projects Department at Surry Power Station. These tasks include development of capital budgets, project authorization, project and construction schedules, and project variance and forecast reporting on capital maintenance projects. Coordinate activities of Controls Specialist. Interface with station management and other departments to assure effective control and reporting of construction and maintenance project costs, scheduling, and budgeting. Provide expertise in developing of station capital budget and five-year forecast. Ensure closing out and maintenance of project authorizations. Assign projects to employees and track the completion of each assignment. Support the procurement of materials, tools and equipment necessary for project execution. In addition, supplement the creation and processing of purchase requisitions/purchase orders, reviewing/approving invoices, and the tracking/close-out of rental equipment/material.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
-7+ years of finance and accounting experience, including a minimum of two years in a leadership role preferred.
-Familiarity with processes required to implement physical modifications to the facility.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Strong personnel computer skills including Maximo, SAP, DocTop, Microsoft Office Suite, Plant Access Management System (PAMS), P6 Scheduling Tool, CAPS, Power BI and other financial tools.
-Familiarity with creating and progressing schedules using Primavera Project Planner software.
-Lead personnel to safely and efficiently execute work.

A minimum of two years in a leadership role preferred.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
