Key Responsibilities

Interpret and apply jurisdictional codes and regulations to assess their impact on natural gas infrastructure and project feasibility.

Collaborate with builders, developers, and engineering teams to minimize the physical footprint of natural gas installations while ensuring compliance and efficiency.

Identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges related to natural gas systems, including safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.

Evaluate engineering designs for feasibility, environmental impact, and alignment with company standards and customer needs.

Prepare cost estimates and technical analyses to support project planning, sales proposals, and marketing initiatives.

Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and support strategic sales growth.

Develop and implement new technologies and marketing tools to promote the benefits and applications of natural gas solutions.

Prepare preliminary engineering designs and assist in evaluating alternative energy solutions in support of the company's Marketing Plan.

Generate technical reports detailing appliance costs, energy usage, emissions, and operating costs to support sales, sustainability, and rate case development.

Conduct field site surveys and provide technical support during the design and installation of internal natural gas piping systems.

Deliver training programs to internal sales teams on gas-fired equipment, energy analysis, and market trends.

Support the development of marketing tools and coordinate pilot projects for new technologies.

Address and resolve code-related issues involving IFGC, IMC, IBC, DOT, WSSC, and other local regulatory agencies.

Maintain accurate and detailed client profiles and project data within the company's CRM system.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Chemical preferred).

EIT certification (FE exam passed) preferred; PE license is a plus.

Working knowledge of local building, mechanical, and fuel gas codes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate multiple scenarios and implement effective solutions.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Proven ability to negotiate and resolve business issues with internal and external stakeholders.

Advanced understanding of energy engineering principles, including flow, heat transfer, and combustion.

Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across departments.
