We are seeking a Systems Analyst II in our Information Technology division to help design, implement, and support critical systems including energy management system (EMS), distribution management system (DMS), and data historian that ensure reliable transmission and distribution operations for GRE and our member cooperatives.
Total Rewards:
A typical starting range for this position is $92,000 - $126,000 annually. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Collaborate with System Operations and member cooperatives to ensure software is developed and maintained to provide required functions and reports.
· Ensure EMS and DMS availability exceeds 99.95% through robust processes and monitoring.
· Design and maintain interfaces for EMS, DMS, and related systems.
· Provide technical support including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
· Analyze and resolve software issues or escalate for resolution.
· Maintain compliance with cybersecurity and NERC requirements; report any suspected non-compliance.
· Ensure disaster recovery and backup control center systems meet availability standards.
· Stay informed on technological trends to ensure GRE uses best-in-class systems.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field and 3-7+ years of experience in business system design and support; OR 2+ years post-secondary education in a technology related field and 5-9+ years of experience in business system design and support is required.
· Experience supporting real-time system operations or critical systems is preferred.
· Knowledge of computer system hardware and software including operating systems, virtualization, databases, and interfaces is required.
· Knowledge and understanding of real-time data acquisition and control systems and their applications to electrical power systems is preferred.
· Knowledge and experience with Linux and Windows operating systems is required.
· Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and NERC CIP requirements is preferred.
· Skills in communication, both written and verbal, along with the ability to present a professional image, establish credibility, build relationships and partner with all levels of the organization.
· Skill in conflict resolution including the ability to address difference of opinions or facts and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution.
· Ability to manage small and medium projects.
· Ability to develop and define technical processes, multitask, and coordinate projects simultaneously while applying good time management and prioritization.
· Ability to understand systems, design reports, and improve information technology processes.
· Ability to work as a part of a cross-function team to achieve project goals.
· Ability to adapt to changing business circumstances.
