Idaho Power located in vibrant Boise, Idaho is looking for a Visual Media Specialist to join our team. It's an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. What does a Graphic Multimedia Specialist do for us?

This individual works with mid- to senior company leaders, Corporate Communication staff, internal clients and technical staff to develop innovative multimedia, web-based, interactive and print-based solutions. They also create compelling multimedia material targeting identified internal and external audiences.

Specific job duties include:

  • Shooting and producing videos, capturing photographs and handling other multimedia communication needs for internal and external audiences, working under general supervision and with Corporate Communication staff, technical staff, and internal clients.
  • Coordinating and collaborating as needed to create the highest quality visuals to express the Idaho Power brand, meeting all deadlines. Independently brainstorm concepts, locations, and visual direction.
  • Using digital cameras and editing software (Adobe Suite, Apple Motion, Final Cut Pro) for photography, video, and motion graphics projects.
  • Recording and editing high-quality audio for use in multimedia productions
  • Inputting and maintaining photos in digital asset management resource.
  • Including metadata and ensuring metadata is used consistently for easy retrieval of images.
  • Create visual collateral that aligns with company standards including presentations, newsletters, animations, brochures, posters, graphics, advertisements, displays, flyers, and other materials.

Knowledge of:

  • Creative design, multimedia production, technologies, photography and presentation techniques
  • Production methods of various multimedia projects and the requirements needed for final output on multiple platforms
  • Effective visual communication techniques

Skills in:

  • Understanding detailed materials
  • Project management methodologies
  • Production and design techniques used for various multimedia, web, and print projects
  • Professional design, layout and illustration; photography and digital image manipulation
  • Use of Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills that showcase professional, polite demeanor to gain alignment and commitment
  • Creative mindset to help showcase and strengthen the Idaho Power brand in all we do

Ability to:

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement complex and creative multimedia, web and print projects
  • Prioritize multiple, concurrent projects and meet established deadlines
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service
  • Provide creative communication recommendations
  • Perform concentrated detailed work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Employ analytical expertise, artistic talent, and technical skill to design and produce effective, dynamic materials
  • Maintain complete confidentiality and security of company and customer information and materials
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelors degree from accredited college or university in graphic design or related creative field

OR

  • An equivalent combination of appropriate training and experience

Experience:

  • 5 years professional graphic design, photography, and/or videography experience with a business or agency

License:

  • Valid Driver's license with acceptable driving record based on the requirements of the position

Preferred:

  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Remote Pilot Certificate
