POSITION CONCEPT:
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Warehousing ("Stores") functions. Each Supervisor has responsibility for assigned storerooms located across Energy Supply. Provides materials and services for all operational areas within ES (internal/external contractor partners). Coordinate 911 Storm stock and distribution as requested/needed. Responsibilities include all receiving and issuing of material, the appropriateness and accuracy of all inventory levels, and the effective use of all associated equipment, vehicles and facilities. This position will require extensive experience in power plant and or heavy industrial Warehousing, to include inventory process's, shipping/receiving, material handling, knowledge of plant equipment and operations in order to maximize productivity, unit availability and station reliability while maintaining warehouse business operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees, audits and approves all Stores activities to include daily inventory inquiries, entering and/or approving purchasing requisitions, shipping, receiving, issuing, and returning material. Serves as an SAP Super User for Supply Chain with focus on Stores transactions including training direct reports and resolving issues in the system for related supply chain or financial departments. Oversees the processing of contractor material requests to ensure timely availability and the appropriate use of material. Performs annual inventories of all ES storage locations (other company locations possible). Leads employees in finding new and/or better ways to perform work functions to reduce costs and deliver better service to all internal and external customers.
- Ensures world-class safety performance among all team members and that all safety and environmental standards are followed, especially as they relate to storing, handling, and shipping materials.
- Supports the performance and training of all team members. Observes each employee's skills and makes appropriate training available as needed. Executes Performance Reviews, Positive Discipline, EAP referrals, and policy compliance as appropriate for job related performance. Interpret and administer the IBEW collective bargaining agreement on a daily basis. Assist in handling grievances. Proactively anticipate and prevent labor concerns.
- Special duties include the oversight and proper staffing of emergency incident base sites, and overall execution of emergency plans, ensuring sufficient quantities of material are on hand for both foreign and local emergency crews. In the absence of the Manager, may have assigned responsibility for all ES Stores locations and team members.
- Plant Support and Problem Solving - Work with Purchasing and Plant Personnel in expedition of parts and or materials as required. Work with Vendors and Plant Personnel regarding material problem resolution. Work with Plant Personnel in identification of potential obsolete inventories. Direct disposition of obsolete equipment and materials for temporary storage and transportation to recovery locations.
EDUCATION:
Required: A valid high school diploma or valid GED or Associate degree
Preferred: Bachelors degree
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Minimum of 8 years of related experience. Related experience consists of material handling, Power Plant operations and standards, inventory management, work planning, SAP, and procurement.
Preferred: 10 years Storeroom experience in a utility environment
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Required: Must have a thorough understanding of SAP Supply Chain with specific knowledge of utility material. Must have proficient technical and leadership skills, and a working knowledge of warehousing policies and procedures. Performance history should support potential for greater responsibility with demonstrated strengths in the Core Job Related Dimensions listed below. Skills in active listening, speaking and management of financial, material and personnel resources.
Preferred: Demonstrated skills in management of financial, material and personnel resources; critical thinking, systems analysis (SAP, Workman, WorkPro and Arcos), analytical decision-making skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Minimum 40 hours a week with occasional overtime and weekends. Work indoors and outdoors. Able to manage conflicting priorities in a fast paced, potentially stressful environment.
