    				Summary
			This position will be responsible for ensuring that the various tax concepts compliance processes and planning activities are administered in a timely manner, including property, franchise, sales & use, income and excise taxes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the tax concepts (property, franchise, sales & use, income and excise) filings for the Company are prepared accurately and timely
- Perform research and effectively apply tax laws and regulations to the Company
- Support the income tax area with fixed asset analysis and depreciation reporting from Powertax software program including case management and scenario planning
- Assist with tax audits from the following types of auditors: governmental, outside independent, and internal
- Respond to taxing authority notices & correspondence
- Assist with monthly forecast updates related to taxes
- Assist with tax calculations for the Company's regulatory rate filings
- Assist with integration activities related to taxes
- Provide support for property tax activities and analysis including appeals and declaration prep
- Assist with compliance and documentation associated with internal controls as it relates to the various tax concepts
- Maintain high performance standards and constructive employee relations at all levels of the Company
- Other assigned duties to meet departmental and Company objectives

- Ability to perform tax research, including the ability to read, interpret, and apply complex tax laws and directives.

- Knowledge of operational tax concepts
- Ability to prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple concurrent projects
- Knowledge of state and local reporting requirements and regulations

Supervisory Responsibilities
Required Education (certifications, licenses)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
- A minimum of three years of experience working in the accounting field preferrably at least two years of corporate tax experience
- Experience with PowerPlan, PowerTax, and Oracle preferred
- Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- Ability to proficiently use the Internet and tax research databases to quickly locate tax guidance
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
