This position provides management level leadership and support related to the portfolio of Transmission Project Development capital projects including strategy and development of project management, reporting and related processes. This includes oversight and coordination of the development phase of the project from inception to project execution handoff to ensure capital portfolio can be executed with a detailed and organized scope, schedule and budget. The position provides formal supervision of project management staff.
Responsibilities
Supervises Project Development Project Management staff, including assignments, development, and performance management.
Oversee the development of project work plans, manages project changes, and resolves project problems to ensure project schedule is maintained.
Develops and implements strategies for the effective management of project portfolio including estimating, budgeting, planning, scheduling, reporting and related processes.
Manages coordination of inter-departmental project team identification and communication for confirmation of project plan and scope.
Ensures scope, schedule and budget are prepared for successful project execution on Transmission lines and substation capital projects.
Oversees capital project financials including funding requests, forecasting, cashflows and project authorization.
Provides oversight developing project schedules to support required capital improvement required in-service dates. Team prepares detailed activity-based schedules for all transmission line and substation projects.
Contributes to effective project portfolio execution and inter-departmental coordination and planning through regular communication, project meetings and reports.
Manages coordination and communication of project status and changes with stakeholders.
Provides oversight of project turnover to execution team ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are complete and in-progress.
Develops and implements strategies to mitigate project contingencies and risks.
Performs analysis and recommendations to support resource allocation decisions.
Responsible for development of standards for internal project management processes and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business, or related project management discipline
- 8+ years job-related industry experience
- Must have strong leadership, project management and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Required
