JOB SUMMARY
Plans, manages and directs engineering activities aligned with company objectives and goals.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
Accountable for departmental performance. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges. Decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan. Generally manages a recognized discipline and specialty with separate budget.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for technical review of plans, studies and projects.
Monitor and maintain project efficiency with emphasis on accuracy and budgeted time.
Coordinates with and draws resources from groups from outside the division in a manner which optimizes the utilization of divisional and company-wide resources.
Responsible for budget development and management.
Provides guidance and keeps employees informed of policies and operational changes.
Supervises assigned personnel engineering, and is directly responsible for selection, hiring, training, performance evaluations, promotional recommendations and schedules.
All other duties as assigned.
Sets priorities and utilizes resources to accomplish organizational objectives for operations and engineering according to short-term and long-term strategic plans.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or PE, And 8 years directly related experience.
Experience in economic modeling.
WORKING CONDITIONS
May be exposed to extreme conditions and inclement weather.
May require travel.
Work is in an office, field or plant environment.
May work non-standard hours.
SPECIAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Member is required to drive in order to perform their job duties. Member is assigned a company vehicle and/or member must drive a company and/or personal vehicle to complete company business at least 50% of time.
The operation, maintenance or oversight of critical services and infrastructure including but not limited to, electric utilities, power generation or distribution;

Ability to work as a team leader, independently, foresees future problems and recommends solutions.
Technical expertise in engineering, planning methods and economic methods.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and delegate assignments as required by workload.
Ability to solve problems, perform analysis, and make good decisions.
Time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing with all levels throughout and outside of the organization.
Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
