We are seeking an experienced Engineer III to support the performance monitoring and diagnostics of our renewable energy fleet, including wind, solar, and emerging battery systems. This role is split between ongoing monitoring of wind and solar assets, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, compliance (with NERC GADS). and facilitating monthly performance reviews with field technicians. The engineer will be responsible for generation data integrity, ensuring all assets are online and reporting accurately, and will play a key role in identifying and resolving operational issues across the fleet.
A quarter of the role focuses on data analytics and innovation, leveraging tools like Canary and Python to manipulate and report on system performance, particularly for battery assets. Strong Python coding skills are a mandatory requirement. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree and experience in renewable energy systems, though exceptional data analysts with relevant experience may also be considered. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to synthesize complex data, and a proactive approach to fleet performance and compliance.

Manages project budgets, including processes accruals and communicates anticipated changes in the budget; has completed financial reporting training and Utility Rate Making Concepts training.

Supports Generation facility outages.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
Engineering program that is accredited through the Engineering Accreditation Commission required
Required Experience

5 years of related experience.

Project management experience, along with ability to deal with subcontractors and cross-functional teams; may have expertise in a particular area of the discipline.
