Position Description
- Support the organization's insurance and risk management functions.
- Assist with claims tracking, insurance documentation, and data analysis to help protect the organization's assets and reduce loss exposure.
Essential Job Tasks:
Claims Support:
- Coordinates the claims process, working closely with claims adjusters and internal counsel to ensure prompt and fair settlements in case of losses or liabilities.
- Engage in negotiation with the claimant to reach a fair and equitable settlement.
- Discuss and negotiate the amount of the settlement, the scope of repairs or replacement, and any other relevant terms.
- Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, address concerns and keep claimants informed of the progress.
- Insurance Documentation:
- Help track insurance certificates, policies, endorsements, and renewal documents.
- Support internal reviews and ensure records are organized and current.
Data Entry and Reporting:
- Enter and update claim and loss control data in internal and carrier systems.
- Prepare reports and support the preparation of summaries for leadership, brokers and other departments.
