Summary
As an Equipment Support Representative at Oncor, you will be is responsible for negotiating and managing agreements and logistics for third party freight services. The position also acquires permits and manages the heavy haul logistics to move large equipment (e.g., power transformers).
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Directly or through others, the incumbent:
- Negotiate and develop third party freight agreements.
- Monitor performance of third-party freight providers.
- Maintain market intelligence regarding third party freight cost and service.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of DOT requirements for licensing and permitting.
- Maintain knowledge of various electrical equipment handling processes including size and weight and the requirements for moving equipment.
- Provide system wide support for freight logistics.
- Acquire DOT permits for moving equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding logistics of delivering power equipment including overseas by boat and rail to job site.
- Develops and provides reports to aide in monitoring and analyzing supplier performance.
- Actively support and promote Oncor's supplier diversity program.
- Incorporate safety into daily work ethic.
- Storm Site lead and logistics coordinator.
- Manages all DOT related equipment to include state inspections, registrations, and maintenance.
- Will utilize fleet data entry software for vehicle miles, maintenance, records and scheduling.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
Experience
- 5 years of related experience in electric utility, Transmission, or engineering related experience is required.

- Third party freight agreements are in place and demonstrate competitive pricing.
- Third party freight performance is monitored and reported with corrective action as needed.
- Responsive to internal and external stakeholders.
- Large power equipment is delivered effectively, efficiently and safely.
