Responsibilities:
-Responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of overhead and underground distribution line contractors and/or company crews.
-Promote and ensure safe work practices for all crews.
-Conduct safety audits and enter into Safety COACHING Assessment database.
-Assign, schedule, requisition material, complete and close projects in DIS following proper procedures and practices.
-Maintain communication with internal customers including New Business Development, Networks, Customer Service, Design, Engineering, Vegetation, DOC, etc regarding crew availability, job scheduling, job status and completion.
-Interface with crews to ensure that jobs are completed to Entergy specifications and conduct necessary follow-up.
-Interface with design groups in pre-construction and post-construction meetings.
-Provide on-going feedback to the design group to continuously improve effective-design and to receive confirmation for in-the-field design changes.
- Available for call-out and out-of-town / overnight travel as needed in response to outage events or workload / resource requirements.
-Conduct post construction job audits and provide timely feedback and documentation to Data Maintenance.
-Meet with customer to resolve complaints, issues, etc.
-Perform necessary updates in DIS, DSS, CTS, etc regarding job changes, job closing, invoice processing, etc.
-Follow-through with contractors to ensure accuracy and timely submission of job documentation, invoices, etc.
-Timely review and thorough verification of contractor invoices.
-Interface with storerooms and EDC regarding material needs.
-Become proficient with Click/Maximo, EPOCH, and OMS/DMS.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 8 years of Distribution Line and/or Engineering experience
-Thorough knowledge and demonstrated understanding and appreciation of Entergy's safe work practices.
-Knowledge of distribution overhead and underground construction practices and material.
-Demonstrated maturity in decision making and respect of peers.
-Working knowledge of DIS, DSS, CTS, AMFM, DFM, GIS, ECOS, Time & Labor and Microsoft Office toolkit applications.
-Working knowledge of DIS units, the labor and materials associated with the units and their applications.
-Demonstrated communication and organizational skills.
-Proven commitment to customer service.
-Understanding of Entergy construction standards and policies.
-Understanding of Corporate programs and initiatives such as ECI, Shared Values, Business Courtesies Policy, Code of Integrity, etc.
-Capable of reading and interpreting construction prints
-Ability to work under storm conditions both local and out of town
