Summary
With minimal supervision, the Senior Accountant, will perform a wide variety of advanced accounting or budget-related activities including the preparation of financial statements and management reports that require the application of professional accounting standards and follow established company policies and procedures.Resolve more complex problems of broad scope and high impact in maintaining accounts or systems, preparing reports and in the distribution of costs. Interact routinely with accounting or business unit senior level staff and management personnel.
You are responsible for:
- Oversight over compatible unit (CUs) to ensure proper accounting data is used
- Review and monitor blankets for auto-unitization
- Categorization of assets or unitization of our assets
- Resolve more complex problems of broad scope and high impact in maintaining accounts or systems
- Interact routinely with accounting or business unit staff and management personnel.
- Conducting analysis and training to ensure the optimization of our auto-unitization processes
- Generating ad hoc financial reports and conducting analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Minimum Requirements
- BS degree in accounting, finance or related field
- And three (3) years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MBA, MS in Accounting and/or CPA certification preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
- Strong analytical, research and problem solving skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Advanced knowledge of computer spreadsheet and word processing software programs (Microsoft Office).
